Last day

June 27, 2008

And so it was my last day at AsiaOne yesterday. After 3 seemingly short but fruitful months, I had finally served my time well. I really really enjoyed working there, although my job is pretty brainless and can get boring at times. But the people there made everything so much different and fun! Hate to go, but like Geri said, I have to move on and open the next chapter in my life.

I’m glad I made and forged friendships during my stay at AsiaOne. Geri, who has probably stood by me through thick and thin, is one of them. I think it’s destined that our paths cross and it is such a blessing to have met and known you. Without you, I’d probably temp-ing elsewhere in hopes of getting into NTU.

Adrian Lim too has also made a great impact in my life! He’s one of the nicest people the nicest person I’ve ever met in my entire life, and when I say ‘nice’, I really mean nice. I know, ‘nice’ is such an overrated word that everyone uses to describe almost anything. But he is really genuine and pure, that kinda nice, you know? The world can use a few more Adrian Lims around.

Of course, there is the other Adrian who signed my letter for me to get into NTU. I really appreciate the help he gave, all the assignments etc., they gave me the exposure that I wanted.

Met Yong Jian too, who is funneh! Albeit irritating, he’s still the sweet guy I know deep down. He makes me laugh at the most absurd things and gives me little surprises at work with Iron Man and Shifu. I’m going to miss your company much, my younger brother. Sorry I had to abandon you like that, but it’s time for you to find a new lunch buddy cum tea break buddy cum breakfast buddy.

Crystal, my favourite intern! Haha, ok that’s because she sits beside me and gives me tons of freebies. BUT! That’s not the reason why I love this girl so much ok! We have a million things in common and every lunch time, we seem to talk non-stop. Thanks for listening to me when I needed a ear, girl. Really appreciate your kindness!

JILLYN! My personal irritant. I’m glad we got to know each other better, although it was at a much later date. (Better late than never, I say.) She’s such fun company and she really goes all out to help a friend in need. You’ve been great, Jill! But whatever it is that you are thinking about, don’t think too much of it ok? It’s probably not worth it. Much love to you and our no-life palship!

UNCLE JULIAN! Although we didn’t really get to know each other well, he certainly is great company! Uncle Julian so pro and so strong, he taught me things. Hehehe, and Uncle Julian is very funny too!

And last but definitely not the least, Mr Raymond Poon. Poon in the ass, hahaha! I’m gonna miss you sporadic ‘need you to help me code some stories’ via GChat. Keep reading those girly magazines, and I’ll keep thinking that you have major female tendencies. It was great working with you although sometimes it’s a drag to code your stories. Hehehehe

Ellen, Chye Luan, Simran (love you long time lah!), Ben, Ling, Raydza, Sato, Jasmine (love the office hours entertainment that you provide.), Cynthia, Amy and the whole lot! Gonna miss you guys big time!!!
