I did my video and then I saw the other contenders’ videos and was totally upset about mine. Mine had no character, no style, definitely boring and so not me. I was sooooo nervous and I guess the nervousness came across in the video obviously.

So, I emailed the people in charge, hoping for a 2nd chance at my 1st video and they said I could do it if I wanted cos the company had already seen my video and my fate was pretty much decided (in a positive way.)

I finally did my 2nd video but only submitted it after giving much thought about the whole competition cos I guess I was going to be feeling shitty about it if I was ever to go through with it. But heck, I just sent in my video for what it’s worth.

I got no reply, or confirmation or whatsoever. I thought, ok maybe they need time. But hell no. When I just checked their website, it crushed me yet again.

I know it’s stupid of me to get my hopes up high, but it takes 2 hands to clap, if you know what I’m saying here.

For one, I really dislike non-replies. If you really do not want to use me or there has been a change in the people, at least let me know. I’ve been holding onto every single shred of hope, and to think that I was stupid enough to believe that I could be in the ranks of those people.

Let me make this clear, I am not angry with the company nor am I angry with the people in charge about what had happened. I’m angry and very upset about how it was being handled. And now, I’m really starting to think that I lost out to them because I do not have that upper hand of an accent. Call me sore, but now I know this is how the world works. Superficiality rules all.

But now this is behind me, I hope to look forward to many other things ahead. Or maybe afterall, this whole trying to be on the TV thing is not MY thing.

The long-awaited 3rd instalment to my favourite movie since I was kid is finally arriving on our shores!

The first movie came out in 1995 (not that I remembered; Google is my best friend!). I was… 6 years old! My favourite character is Rex cos he looks damn blur and damn cute with his short arms, hehehe. And his comments are classic. Like in Toy Story 2, they had to break out of the ventilation system and they asked him to use his head, and they meant it literally, hahahahahaha!! I love it, it’s damn funny but no one else seems to appreciate Rex as much as I do

Now that the 3rd movie is out, I’M SO EXCITED AND… not to mention I’m turning 21. Hahahahaha, when I saw the trailer earlier year, I kept harping on how badly and MUST catch the film. If you haven’t caught the trailer, watch it here:

Here’s a little sneak on what the movie is about:

Andy, our human friend, is all grown up and heading off to college. So what is he to do with his toys? Well, Woody and Buzz Lightyear with their friends end up at a day care centre where they meet new friends like Big Baby, Barbie’s counterpart, Ken, Lots-o’-huggin Bear, etc etc. But even in new company, Woody and his friends are not enjoying their time at the day care centre where the kids don’t play nice. And once again, it is an adventure that these toys will be on as they make their great escape!

And since it is TOY STORY, you can definitely expect virtual toys on their official website. They have sooo many games! Like this one…

1. Video Jigsaw

This game is damn simple! It’s basically jigsaw puzzle but instead of a stationary picture that you are trying to piece together, it is a video! I think Easy is a bit difficult but I didn’t pause at all!!!

Can you beat my high score of 13,387?!?!! Hoho

And since I want to act hero, I went to try it in Hard.

The verdict is…

... 14,941!!! I only used 5 pauses okay!

Ok lah, not that bad. Hahahahah but it is really so much more difficult than easy cos you gotta rotate the pieces as well.

2. Football pin-ball!!! **** (I put a lot of stars because this is my favourite!)

When I was a kid, I would always ask my dad for coins so that I could play the pinball machine. So fun!!! And now, Disney also developed a virtual version of it for pinball addicts like me.

Really haven’t played an actual pinball in quite a while. Come to think of it… are they extinct?!

3. Platform game

This is a little similar to Super Mario without the growing mushrooms, hehe. And I really REALLY am bad at these kind of games!

If I had continued, my spacebar and my right arrow key would be spoilt by tomorrow cos every time I jump across to somewhere, I would hold them down really hard, like that helps :\

4. Toy Creator

And now, onto something less stressful, we can make toys!!! Ever wanted your own customized doll? Now you can use the Toy Story 3 Toy Creator to make a neat toy, how’s that?

Have you ever felt so low, and so degraded next to other people because of something that you don’t have and can never have? Well, that’s how I’m feeling at this exact moment and trust me, I’ve never felt so low in my entire life.

I’ve always been a positive person (at least I try to) and tell myself, ‘I can do this even though she’s better than me.’ Either that, or I don’t give two hoots about who she is or what she has that I don’t.

But today, it hit me real hard on my face, slapped me to wake up to reality and look for myself that I ain’t the best around here. There are prettier girls, girls who speak so much better, girls with so much more personality than I do, so who the hell am I to think that I am the best?

Fuck me and my stupid ideas, really.

So ok, I had an awakening. I told myself, “You don’t have to be the best, but just don’t be the worst.” And now what? I am not even the LATTER. I am the worst.

Seriously, it’s such a small matter but I don’t know why I had myself fighting with friends over it, and even doubting myself to do this. And who is to blame?

Nobody but ME. The girl who has absolutely nothing. No material, no quality, no personality, no whatever the fuck you call it. I pinned my hopes way up too high for this bullcrap and this is what I get. And to think that this would be easy peasy and just to pass time.

I thought this could be a great chance for me to be something different. I thought this could open up new doors for me. I thought this could tell me that  could, afterall, do something along the lines of what I wanted. But no, this is really bullcrap.

I don’t want to be just a girl with a 9 to 5 job and does what a regular Tom, Dick or Harry does. But now I think I’m just that girl,  exactly the way I described her.

With spring behind us, we now look forward to summer! I know it is summer all year round in Singapore but what better time to flaunt those bright and daring colours?! Girls, time to dig out all our maxi dresses, sunnies, wide-brimmed hats, bikinis, what-have-yous cos you are now officially allowed to go crazy on COLOURS!!!

Right hand: Pinky in F7 Grape with 14 sugar, ring finger in F9 kiwi with F8 orange, middle finger in F4 sakura with PK6 (from Ettusais’ normal nail colour range), index finger in GR1 (Ettusais’ normal nail colour range again) with 13 cinnamon sugar and thumb in BE3 with 12 Blueberry sugar.

Left hand: Pinky in GR1 again with 12 Blueberry sugar, ring finger in F8 orange with PK6 & 14 sugar, middle finger in F3 cotton candy with F2 tappioca milk in spots, index finger in WT1 with PK6 and 14 sugar and thumb in BE3 with 13 cinnamon sugar.

After my little break during the exams, I was so so honoured to shoot with ATL’s new model who is damn freaking HOT AND CHIO! She’s really pretty, I drooled. Hahahhahaha.

They will be launching their Allure label tomorrow night (8/6) and oh my goodness, the material of the clothes… DAMN AWESOME!

What I love about them is that all 3 girls have so different kinds of styles so it is highly likely that you will find something you like. Personally, I’m not a corporate workwear kinda girl but I have to say, there are a few pieces that I’m eyeing on.
